The Appellate Court on Thursday sentenced a young man to nine years imprison-ment for murder which took place in Vuosaari, Helsinki in April, 2015.
The Court upheld the District Court’s verdict of the murder case.
The convict, in his 20s, struck the victim with a long knife on the neck, chest and upper back.
The action in this case, according to the judgment, is regarded as intentional mur-der.
The convict hit another man with a 20.5 cm long knife.
The convict, however, denied intentionally killing the victim with the knife and said he had not directed his swing at anything.
