A teenage girl was killed in an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) accident at Vihti in Uusimaa on Saturday.
The police said the accident took place in the early morning when the ATV collided with a roadside telephone pole.
A 17-year-old boy was driving the ATV. One of the passengers, a 14-year-old girl, was seriously injured in the accident. She was taken to a hospital in Helsinki where she succumbed to her wounds in the afternoon.
According to police information, there were three other passengers in the ATV at the time of the accident.
