The head of research and chief economist at Nordea Aki Kangasharju has expressed concern over government cuts in education and innovation fund in Thursday’s Nordea's morning outlook.
The education budget is up for trimming by 600 million euros while 100 million euros will be downsized from the allocations to the Finnish Funding Agency for Innovation-Tekes.
The innovation funds, according to Kangasharju has fallen further in comparison to other countries.
"The overall programme is, however, more linear than its predecessor," Kangasharju said adding that the aim is clearly to restore the Finnish economy to the public
According to Kangasharju, the time-frame on the reforms and the savings, however, are still unclear.
