A Nordea bank branch in Nurmijärvi was robbed on Monday at gun point, said police sources.
The emergency response centre received the alarm of the robbery at around Monday noon.
The police confirmed that the robber made off with substantial amount of cash, but did not disclose the exact figure.
Police detective Kimmo Hyvärinen said no one was injured during the robbery.
The perpetrator was reportedly wearing a bright jumpsuit and a mask. The robber was also carrying a plastic bag.
The police have appealed for witnesses.
