A fisherman is suspected of having committed a fishing offence at Pori, in Satakunta, said the Western Finland Coast Guard on Tuesday.
The Coast Guard recovered 550 kilograms of Salmon fish as well as drift nets aboard a fishing vessel in the Reposaari port of Pori.
The fisherman is suspected of a criminal offence as Salmon fishing is prohibited in the Sea of Bothnia from the beginning of April to mid-June.
According to the Coast Guard, the fish and drift nets were confiscated, and the fish auctioned off immediately.
