The communication department of Sonera, however, restored the mobile phone services, although subscribers of the land lines were still not getting uninterrupted service until Tuesday night.
Subscribers faced problems accessing internet which was restored; but land line connections are still experiencing problems manifested by the noise in the background.
According to Sonera, the problem was a result of a system failure that started in the morning.
It is, however, not known to what extent the faults affected the customers as connections kept on fluctuating.
