A number of companies have been sent phishing emails in the name of Pohjola bank in an attempt to steal the companies’ online banking codes.

According to OP Pohjola, it is written in the email that the companies’ online banking is vulnerable and without update it will stop to work.

The email directs the companies to log into the online banking which resembles OP’s Cash Management Service log in.

OP stressed that it never asks customers to log into online services by email or text message and does not relay credit card information or identification number.

OP has recommended against opening the messages and has asked customers who have received the emails to delete the messages immediately.

The bank has advised customers who have handed their banking codes to the scam site to shut their codes and contact OP Pohjola bank.
