Supermarket chain Lidl is planning to invest up to 100 million euros in Finland in the current financial year, said Lidl Finland Administrative Director Sami Pyykönen.

The objective is to expand the network of outlets further and possibly establish a third distribution centre.

Lidl announced its turnover in the country had increased by 14 per cent in the last financial year.

The turnover posted was just under 1.4 billion euros posting a rise from just under 1.2 billion euros in the previous year.
