The public transport in the capital city will tomorrow be paralysed after it was confirmed that the one-day strike initiated by the Trade Union for the Public and Welfare Sectors-JHL will take place as earlier planned.
The Helsinki City Council was scheduled to discuss on Monday the possible corporatisation of city services run by Palmia, a municipal enterprise owned by the City of Helsinki.
Merja Ruotsalainen, head of JHL’s Helsinki chapter, confirmed to news agency STT that they will go ahead with the strike.
