President Sauli Niinistö on Tuesday emphasized to take stern measures to overcome the existing economic trouble of the country. 

Speaking at the opening session of the Parliament 2013, the president asked the government to find out ways to solve the ongoing economy, sustainability gap and public debt.

"A lot of talk have already been made about economy, debt and sustainability gap but this is the time now to act", said Niinistö.

At the same time, the president pointed out the moves taken by the government of Esko Aho(Centre)and Paavo Lipponen(Social democratic Party) regarding extensive cutting lists and bank support. 

"There has to be a will , even if you go through the gray rock," said the president.

The government is preparing for the massive plan to decide what new methods are used to balance the finances, It is expected the spending cuts. 

Niinisto also encouraged the on going debate on foregin policy and defended the way in which Finland has raised her voice in the euro crisis and  required behavior which  would restore the mutual trust and confidence. 

He also said that the previous administrations were also faced the painful cuts and implemented considering the necessity.
