Tampere has its strengths such as location, comfort, good studying opportunities and cultural services.
“ I believe that the positive attitude of Tampere is showing in the results,” said the mayor of Tampere, Anna-Kaisa Ikonen expressing reaction on the survey.
Helsinki and Jyväskylä were selected as the second and third most attractive cities respectively in the survey.
Jyväskylä, was estimated as the best environment friendly city for the children.
The best municipal services were estimated to be in Helsinki, Espoo and Tampere.
The respondents were asked to provide various information about different cities overall rating on a scale of four to ten.
Tampere scored 7.78 while Helsinki 7.35 and Jyväskylä 7.32 followed by Turku and Espoo.
A total of 4,000 Finnish from 15 to 79 years of age participated in the survey conducted in February.
