Five South African soldiers have died in a helicopter crash in the Kruger National Park in South Africa, STT reports quoting AFP and Reuters.
The crash occurred when the helicopter was on a flight patrolling the park above on Saturday evening.
The Agusta 109 helicopter was part of the campaign, which seeks to protect the rhinos from poachers.
On Wednesday, three poaching suspects were killed in the Kruger National Park in exchange of gunfire with the guards. Army was examining the events leading to the crash.
