The Easter holidays have begun on Friday amidst sunny and comparatively warm atmosphere, which brought most of the people outside to enjoy the vacation in a leisure mood.

People were found skiing, driving snow mobile, fishing inside ice, visiting parks and river sides along with children and preparing food in open places on the first day of the vacation.

Some of the people, however, already left the city for long distance journey outside and inside the country while some other  preferred to stay in countryside to enjoy the holidays in an isolated atmosphere.

The Finland Times correspondents from the major cities of the country reported that number of people found to catch fishes inside the ice in the frozen rivers and lakes while number of people were seen to driving snowmobile and skiing on the ice.

 Number of parents also gathered in the amusement parks along with children and spent the days with fun and joys.

All the offices and shopping malls, excepting some small stationary shops remained closed on Friday in observance of the Easter Sunday.

Earlier, the Meteorological Institute report said that  the Easter week would be comparatively warm and sunny all over the country.

Although there was a little snow fall at some places for certain period early this week, most of the places experienced warmer whether during the day time.

The average temperature at the beginning of the week was zero degree Celsius at the Southern Part and Central Finland while the temperature was few degrees below zero in the Northern parts of the country.

The night time, however, was going through frosty weather and the temperatures were minus 10 degrees Celsius to minus 20 degrees Celsius at the northern parts of the country.
