The company is set to initiate co-determination talks that will involve a total of 146 employees.
Fazer said that it will concentrate on bakery production because the consumption of bread in the county has declined.
According to the company, there has also been increase in break consumption in stores that bake.
The company also cites increase in wages and continued rise of energy costs as reasons for the necessity of the operations.
Fazer will continue production in Vantaa, Lahti, Lappeenranta and Oulu factories. In addition to the factories, the company also has 47 retail outlets in different parts of the country.
