Prices went down by 0.8 per cent in Greater Helsinki and by 0.6 per cent in the rest of Finland.
Compared with the corresponding period of the previous year, prices fell by 1.5 per cent throughout the country, the data show.
In Greater Helsinki, prices went up by 0.5 per cent from the year before, but in the rest of Finland they went down by 3.1 per cent.
In May 2014, the average price per square metre of an old dwelling in a housing company was EUR 2,213 in the whole country, EUR 3,560 in Greater Helsinki and EUR 1,685 elsewhere in the country, according to the statistics.
