The Kemi-Tornio District Court has turned down a Russian shipping company’s demand for compensation from the dock workers’ company Röyttän Satamatyöläiset ry.
The shipping company demanded compensation after dock workers in early June refused to offload its Rusich 5 vessel at the Tornio port during a partial strike.
The strike was called in protest against the working conditions of stevedores at Finnish ports.
