Finland has dropped in its ranking on the latest International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) index which measures the openness of a country’s economy.
Finland is now ranked 25th on the latest Open Markets Index. Two years ago the country was number 17 on the list.
Singapore and Hong Kong claimed the top spots once again.
Timo Vuori, the director of International Chamber of Commerce in Finland said the fact that Finland is falling behind other Nordic and Baltic states is alarming.
“The modest success in the survey gives Finland a bad picture as an investment destination,” Vuori observed.
Other Nordic countries maintained their position in the survey. Iceland which is ninth on the index is the highest ranked Nordic country ahead of Sweden and Estonia.
