The Prime Minister, Jyrki Katainen is scheduled to visit Strasbourg on Tuesday to deliver his speech on the future European Union  in the plenary session of the EU parliament, said a government press release.

The PM during his visit will also hold a meeting with President of European Parliament Martin Schulz  and two chairmen of the EP's political groups, Joseph Daul and Guy Verhofstadt, the press release added.

Earlier the PM on March 26 in a programme in Helsinki said that Finland is interested to follow a moderate positive integrating policy in the European Union.

Speaking at a programme participated by the politicians and diplomatic experts, Katainen expressed his dissatisfaction over the role of two extreme member states who draw most attention and dominate in the EU discourses mostly.

He said that Finland has already drawn attention to the rude languages and contemptuous remarks made by the dominating nations in the recent period.

Terming the non-compliance as a major drawback of EU, Katainen urged the EU for practicing a "fair integration" policy.

He said that a strong Europe could extend fair competition and job market for the youths by achieving a strong economy.

On March 24 the Prime minister at the end of the  three-day Lapland Retreat-2013 also  recommended for strengthening  the common foreign and security policies among the EU nations.

He  said Finland has taken the common foreign and security  issues  with  great importance and the issues are expected to be discussed in the upcoming EU summit  scheduled for December this year.
