A minor girl died on Wednesday evening when a chunk of snow fell on her from the rooftop of a residential building in Vantaa.
Rescue department sources said the girl was playing in the backyard of her home. At one point, a big chunk of snow fell from the rooftop of the house and buried her.
One of her parents with the help of a neighbour tried to rescue her immediatly after the incident but failed because of the huge mass of snow covering her body.

One of her parents called the rescue department at the same time and rescue members recovered her from deep under the snow within three munities after arriving at the spot
but the girl had already expired by that time.
Sources said Medi-heli was called in to save the girl. Police are investigating whether it was an unnatural death.
