A book signed by the guests who took part in the funeral of Mannerheim was also sold in the auction together with the badge.
The total price of the Cross and the book was 15,000 euros. The amount was below the starting price set at 20,000 euros.
The badge and the guest book went on sale from a private home.
The Mannerheim Cross No. 121 given to Sergeant Oiva Tuomela at the end of the Second World War was sold in the auction, where a few other historical objects including the original flag of the Senate of Finland also changed hands.
