A Russian aircraft is suspected of trespassing into the Finnish airspace, said defence ministry sources.
According to the ministry, the aircraft in question is a Russian state airplane.
The suspected violation of the Finnish airspace took place south of Porvoo on Tuesday at around six O’clock in the evening.
According to Max Arhippainen, Director of Communication at the Ministry of Defence, a few similar trespasses take place every year.
The incident will be investigated by the border guards.
