Two out three mayors would like to postpone municipal structural reforms and social and healthcare reforms until the next government takes offices, found a survey by the commercial broadcaster MTV.

Only less than a third of the respondents consider it important to drive forward reform plans during this government’s tenure.

According to the survey, only 4 per cent of the mayors even consider the government’s success in furthering municipal, social and healthcare reforms quite good.

More than three out four mayors consider the government’s success in this regard as very poor.

The survey was carried out by Think If Laboratories and covered slightly more than half of the mayors in the country.

The social and healthcare reform proposal is expected to be placed before parliament this month.
