The political parties and constituency associations finalised the list of candidates by the stipulated time of four o’clock in the afternoon.
Notices on electoral alliances and joint candidates had also been submitted by the same deadline.
The candidates vying will be allocated with numbers at the end of next week when the boards draft up the list of candidates.
A total of 2,315 candidates contested the last elections held in 2011, while 2,004 candidates were there in the 2007 polls.
