A middle-aged man died in a fire in his hut in Salo early on Saturday, the Fire and Rescue Services and the police said.
The Fire and Rescue Services received word of a fire in a rural area along Vankaanlahdentie at around 6:00 am.
Born in 1963, the Salo resident lived permanently in the small building. He was supposedly alone at the time of the fire, which was reported by his relatives.
The insides of the building were completely destroyed by the fire.
The cause of the fire has not yet been reported by the police investigators, as of Saturday.
The fire did not spread to any other buildings in the farmyard around it.
