The Perussuomalaiset (Finns Party) will conduct an enquiry into the social media Facebook post made by Olli Sademies, a Finns Party deputy councillor from the City Council of Helsinki.

The post by Sademies pointed to restriction of the number of immigrant children which subsequently resulted to a lively debate on the social media.

Finns Party Secretary Riikka Slunga-Poutsalo in a Twitter feed wrote that Sademies’ opinion does not reflect the policy of the party. The party’s Twitter account confirmed that the matter will be probed.

Sademies wrote that the social security in Africa is based on high number of children. He added that Africans who have migrated to Finland give birth to a lot of children even though a few would be enough.

Sademies in the Facebook post said that in order to avoid a total collapse, the number of children born to immigrants should be restricted.

“Three children maximum. It would require forced sterilisation of African men,” Sademies wrote.
