Thu, 11 Aug, 2016 12:02:18 AM FTimes – STT Report, Aug 11  District court in Helsinki. Photo Lehtikuva. The Helsinki District Court on Wednesday sentenced an 18-year-old man to five years and four months in jail for an attempted rape on one day and aggravated rapes on the next.
There were two victims and the crimes took place on two consecutive days in April.
On the first day, the convict, Afghani Mahdi Jafari, attempted to rape a woman, but she managed to fend him off.
On the next day, Jafari raped a girl of 19 three times in his apartment, first by holding a knife at her neck and twice more later that night.
Jafari came to Finland as an asylum-seeker, claiming to be 16 years old. But, examinations of the bones of his hand and his wisdom teeth, among other things, have shown that he is at least 18 years old.
The story was reported earlier, on Wednesday, by the Finnish commercial broadcaster MTV.
