Two chief directors- an incumbent and another former- of the Centres for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment (ELY Centres) have been accused of fraudulence and negligence of duties. Incidents of pick-pocketing have increased significantly in Helsinki during the recent period. Police recorded a total of 3,380 incidents of pick-pocketing in the capital this year and the number is 240 higher than the stipulated period of the previous year, police sources said. Police said that a number of professional thieves come to Finland from East Europe, which is the reason behind the increase of pick-pocketing in the country. ‘They move very fast from one province to another.
