Prime Minister Jyrki Katainen on Friday said that the expectation of Finland had reflected successfully in the European Union Budget negotiation that took place in Brussels during the EU economic council summit.

He said that the expectation is that the net payments to settle in the coming years to EUR 110 per capita from the Euro 105 in 2011, when the amount already jumped to Euro 123.

The premier said that the contribution of Finland was successfully ensured and the contributions will remain at the same level of Britain, Denmark and France.

Finland came with jacket traditional support coins in many places.

Finnish agricultural direct payments reduced to EUR 3.4 billion from 3.9 billion in the budget. Rural development funds will remain more or less unchanged 2.1 billion while Agricultural development in Finland was, however, the basic level of EUR 600 million in additional money, which balances the net contribution. 

Special payment will fall in Northern Finland to EUR 30 from Euro 35 per person and assistance for a total of 1.7 billion fall from about 1.35 billion. 

Katainen, pointed one way to compensate for the loss of the support of research and development money.

Earlier, the main negotiation of the budget among the member countries were taken place on Thursday night. Following the proposals of the EU economic council president, Herman Van Rompuy, the negotiation took place as the president asked the respective states to calculate their budget and contribution to the EU in particular. 

The EUexpected to have a reduce budget which has been said earlier before the summit took place. After all having recieved all of the proposal from all membesr states, the president have the soul authority to declare the final outcome of the negotitaions reached.

As regards to Finland proposal, a bid for the additional money worth of EU 600 milion has been asked to meet the challenges of  current need. 

However, the budget negotiation reached to an agreement.
