People are getting all-out preparations to celebrate the Easter Sunday, scheduled to be observed on March 31.

As a part of the celebration, the Finnish people along with the Christian community all over the world have planned various programmes to observe the days before and after the Easter in biffing manners.

Meanwhile, the government, semi-government and private authorities already announced the schedules for holidays during the Easter period.

All the shopping malls,  market, banks and post offices will  remain closed during the Easter along with the other offices and educational institutes and brought few changes in the working hours during the opening days.

Although shops and market places will remain open on Thursday, all the markets will remain close on the Good Friday (March 29) and the Easter Sunday (March 31).

The markets  will remain open for half day on Saturday.

The alcohol shops, however, will remain closed for four consecutive days from Friday to Monday but it will remain open on Thursday till 20 O’clock.

The post office will remain open on Thursday till 18.00 O’clock  and most of the post offices will remain closed from Friday to Monday but the Central post office will remain open for four hours on Saturday from 10.00 o’clock.

All the commercial banks  will closed official activities on Thursday 13 O’clock and will resume normal official activities on Tuesday.
