A man and a woman were sentenced on Monday to more than 10 years in prison for committing a murder at Säynätsalo in Jyväskylä city.
The Central Finland District Court sentenced Lauri Veikka Vihtori Aro, 20, to 11 years and two month in prison for murder and aggravated robbery and Kia Julia Salminen to just under 11 years imprisonment for the Säynätsalo incident.
The court observed that the woman ganged up with the man and followed the victim to an ATM machine demanding money.
The two began persistently to demand for the victim’s PIN code and started to assault the man after unsuccessful attempts to withdraw the cash.
According to the court, the two convicts have to understand that their actions, which left the man unconscious and naked in the forest on a November night, resulted to his death.
