A middle-aged man was found drowned in the western Finland town of Korsnäs on Good Friday.
The rescue department received the alarm from Häggvik small boat harbour at 3:00 pm.
The alarm was raised after a person identified something using a binocular 300 metres from the beach.
The rescue department unit which arrived first at the scene recovered the man, but the emergency medical services unit pronounced the man dead.
Based on preliminary information, the victim is said to have left to explore the networks by a kick-sledge on Maundy Thursday.
A hovercraft from the South-West Finland Coast Guard was also dispatched at the scene. The coast guard has warned of very weak ice crystals in the Korsnäs area.
Meanwhile, a man who was found dead at Vuosaari Harbour probably died from electric shock.
The incident will be investigated as an accident, said the police.
The alarm was raised after a passer-by identified something blazing down the track area shortly before 11:00 am on Friday.
