The number of motorists driving under the influence of drugs this year has increased, reported the Turun Sanomat, a Finnish language daily.
According to the newspaper, the police caught 3,250 motorists driving under the influence of drugs between January and July.
The figure is more than one-third higher than the number of drivers driving under the influence of drugs during the corresponding period last year.
The number of motorists driving under the influence of drugs in Southwest Finland has nearly doubled.
Last year, nearly 4,600 motorists were caught by the police driving under the influence of drugs.
