A cyclist was killed on Sunday when she was hit by a lorry in Veteli, Central Ostrobothnia.
The lorry heading towards Vimpeli came from the direction of the city centre of Veteli.
The lorry made a left turn at the intersection of Patanantie and Isopatanantie and the driver was not aware of the cyclist coming from the opposite direction.
The case is being investigated as endangering traffic safety and manslaughter.
The police have appealed for onlookers who may have witnessed the accident to contact the Ostrobothnia police situation centre.
