More than 1300 kilograms of rainbow trout roe worth nearly euro 20,000 were stolen from a fish company’s cold storage in the Sastamala district of Tampere on Tuesday morning, said the Central Finland Police Department.
The theft occurred at about 4:00 am in the morning. The police believe the thief to have been in a vehicle and of having knowledge of when to enter the cold storage.
These types of egg thefts are rare, said the police who have begun an investigation into the incident.
