Information technology service-providing company Tieto will cut down its workforce by 160 staff after completing statutory negotiations.
The company will reduce 90 workers from its Consultancy and System Integration Services and 70 from Product Development Services.
The redundancy will affect most employees in the capital city region and Tampere while other towns will be hit by individual staff cuts.
The redundancy threat was hinted at in the company’s first-quarter interim report in which the need for restructuring was pointed out.
The demand for product service development is said to have remained weak.
