The Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro, Igor Lukšić, also in charge of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration will arrive Finland today on an official visit.

Lukšić is making the visit following an invitation of the Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja, said a foreign ministry press release on Tuesday.

The current status of Montenegro's European Union membership is under negotiations, launched last summer, will be one of the topics of discussion between the ministers.

In addition, the ministers will discuss co-operation between the Western Balkan states and the bilateral relations between Finland and Montenegro.

The visiting Deputy Prime Minister is also scheduled to meet the Chair of the Finnish Parliament's Grand Committee, Miapetra Kumpula-Natri during the visit, the press release added.
