The lead investigator Jari Räty from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) said six new suspects were arrested in suspicion of participating in the activities of an organised crime group.
On Tuesday, the police conducted search in the vested-gang Bandidos’ premises in Helsinki and Nokia. The police during the operation arrested seven people in suspicion of aggravated drug offences.
The NBI suspects Bandidos of smuggling in substantial amount of drugs from Central Europe into Finland.
"The matter in question is a very dangerous classified drug," Räty said.
For investigative reasons, Räty did not divulge the type of the drug in question.
However, Räty confirmed that small amounts of amphetamine and cannabis, among other things, were discovered by the police during the search on Tuesday and Wednesday.
