Finland has been ranked fourth in the 2015 Migrant Integration Policy Index (MIPEX) which measures policies to integrate migrants in 38 countries.

The integration of immigrant labour market in the country has improved, but unemployment of immigrants compared to the native Finns is still higher.

Finland is ranked sixth in labour market issues, ninth in family reunification, eighth in education and training and twelfth in health matters.

The highest ranking was achieved in political participation with Finland being placed third.

Like in 2011 when the last MIPEX index was published, Finland was ranked fourth overall.

The index is a useful tool to evaluate and compare what governments are doing to promote the integration of migrants in all the countries analysed. The analysis takes into account 167 policy indicators.
