A court sentenced a 26-year-old man from Joensuu to three years and four months in prison for sexual offences.
According to a public report published by the District Court of North Karelia, the man, among other things, raped a 14-year-old girl previously unknown to him in the laundry room situated in the apartment's complex.
Furthermore, the man had sexual intercourse a number of times with a 15-year-old girl whom he had forced into a sexual relationship.
The man was also ordered to pay the victims compensation totalling 19,200 euros for sufferings caused.
