Waste management service Napapiirin Residuum Oy will collect hazardous waste, oil waste and wastes for recycling in Rovaniemi at free of cost from mid-May to end of August.
 
The same services will be given to two other cities- Pello and Ranua, company sources said.
 
Waste for recycling such as electronic appliances and scrap metals can be disposed of free to the waste collection company.
 
Mixed wastes such as household furniture can, however, be disposed at a fee.
 
Part of the waste collection cost will be covered through the fees levied on basic waste management from households and cottages.
 
In Rovaniemi, collection of hazardous waste will take place from May 30 to June 6, oil waste collection already took place from May 17 to May 19 while the waste for recycling started from May 18 and will continue till August 24.

The collection of hazardous waste in Pello will go on in 23–24 May, of oil waste on 30 May and recycle waste in 22–27 August.
 
The collection of hazardous waste in Ranua will be on 27 May, of oil waste on 1 May and recycle waste in 20 May–26 August.
