The Espoo District Court sentenced on Tuesday a man to six-month conditional imprisonment for firing a pellet gun at former chair of Kansallinen Kokoomus (National Coalition Party) Alexander Stubb.
The two men involved also hurled stones at the windows of the house and the front door. The man was convicted for, among other things, felony home invasion. The other suspect died during the trial process, so only the other man was included in the judgement.
The crime took place in August last year when Stubb served as the Finance minister.
Stubb and his family were asleep at home in Haukilahti, Espoo when the windows were shot. The 22-year-old man was sentenced to pay for the damages done to Stubb's family home.
The man was sentenced at the same time for other vandalism and theft convictions in the same area in August last year.
