The attractiveness of a region from the perspective of companies is most affected by transport connections and the availability of suitable labour, according to a study report of the Finland Chamber of Commerce.

The report says a third of the companies are struggling to find an educated and skilled workforce. These difficulties are greatest in the construction sector.

The Chamber of Commerce pointed out that there are significant differences between the levels of education and available labour in various regions. The chamber appeals for the promotion of labour mobility.

The study interviewed more than 1,100 business leaders across the country.

According to the business leaders, the area that needs development the most is transport connections. The majority of business leaders are concerned about the condition of the transport infrastructure and believe it to be in need of urgent repair.
