FTimes-STT Report, April 19

Two people, including an elderly woman, were found dead in an apartment building in Noljakka area of Jonesuu Thursday afternoon.

Police being informed by the neighbours recovered the bodies from the house and are investigating to identify the reason behind the deaths.

Police did not find any injury mark on the bodies and do not suspect the incident as murder. Initially they are investigating to ascertain whether there is any connection of drinking alcohol to the incident.

Chief Inspector of North Karjala police Simo Hämäläinen said the two people might have died about one week ago.

Sources said a 63-year-old woman and a man of 42 were living together in the apartment.

Meanwhile, a motorcyclist was killed when a private car knocked him down at Noljakka crossing of Jonesuu on Thursday evening. The motorcyclist died on the spot.
Police said the accident took place on Suksimestarin Road and they did not find any sign of the motorcyclist being drunk.
