A total of 380 baby girls were named Sofia while 438 boys were named Elias.

Among the Swedish speakers, 38 baby girls were given the name Amanda, while 33 baby boys were named Oliver.

The other popular names given to baby girls after Sofia were Aino, Aada, Ella and Emma.

Leo, Onni, Eino and Oliver are other popular names given to boys born in 2014.

On the Swedish side, Ellen, Emma, Ella and Edith followed Amanda among the most popular girl names.

Anton, Leo, Benjamin and Hugo made into the list of popular boys’ names after Oliver among Swedish speakers.

Over 59,500 children were born in 2014.
