Photo – Str / Lehtikuva. The man suspected of the triple killings in a pizzeria in Laukaa was on Wednesday remanded by the District Court of Central Finland.
Lead investigator Markku Latvala said the police have no reason to suspect involvement of any other party in with the killings.
“I have heard, for instance in the social media, about speculations that there are others involved. Sure, the doors are kept open during investigations, but there are no indications of other suspects,” said Latvala.
A couple who owned the pizzeria as well as a female employee of it were killed on Sunday in Laukaa.
The suspected killer was also an employee at the same restaurant.
Although Latvala did not comment on the type of weapon used to carry out the crime, he confirmed that the incident happened inside the premises and that the act lasted only a few minutes.
The police could do nothing by the time they had arrived, as the incident lasted a very short time, said Latvala.
The emergency response centre received a call on Sunday afternoon in which a description of a confused looking man in front a pizzeria was given.
The triple homicide was uncovered after the police arrived at the scene. The suspect was apprehended by the police near the pizzeria.
The motive of the killings remains still unknown.
