The internet system of Kansallinen Kokoomus (National Coalition Party), a major political party in the country, is said to have experienced a serious information security flaw, reported the Finnish language tabloid Iltalehti.

Iltalehti reported that until Monday evening, Kokoomus internet administrator passwords could have been easily obtained without necessarily requiring any special hacking skills.

Due to the flaw, the party’s confidential information traffic could be easily read.

By getting access, anyone could for instance pretentiously act as the chair of the party and relay official greetings, said Iltalehti.

Minna Arve, the party secretary of Kokoomus, said the party will clarify the situation immediately.
