A number of birds like swans, wild geese, lapwings and skylarks have already made their way back to the country. BirdLife Finland spokesperson Jan Södersved said, despite plenty of snow, whooper swans can be spotted up to the north. The southern Finland swans already arrived in January and early February, and some of the swans even wintered in the country. Migratory sea-birds such as skylarks, lapwings and stoke pigeons began their journey back in late February.
Birds such as cranes and finches are expected in the country in the coming weeks, while thrushes may appear in the sky in the coming days. More News
