The Southeast-Finland Border Guard turned away two Russian motorcyclists on Wednesday at the Vaalimaa border crossing point.

According to the Border Guard, the two motorcyclists did not have any direct affiliation with the Night Wolves motorcycle group.

A number of Night Wolves motorcycle group members have sought to celebrate an important Russian victory on May 9 in Berlin.

One of the bikers had travelled successfully through the Vaalimaa crossing point during the first week of May. After arriving on by ship from Helsinki, the German authorities denied him entry after overturning his visa.

The refusal of the other motorist’s entry was made by the Border Guard based on comprehensive consideration and consultations with the other Schengen countries. His entry into the Schengen area had previously been denied at the borders of Poland and Lithuania.
