Govt to do everything to check any such attack
FTimes – STT Report, Aug 19

Prime Minister Juha Sipilä on Tuesday said the government will do everything  to ensure that the type of vandalism that took place at the home of Finance Minister Alexander Stubb on Monday night does not happen again.

In an interview with the news agency STT, the prime minister said the security arrangements in the country are at a good level.

The ministers do not have to fear, said the premier, adding that it has not crossed his mind and neither do his colleagues share the concern.

“I had a chat with Stubb in the morning and he had no such thoughts in mind,” Sipilä said.

Sipilä termed the act serious and reprehensible, since Stubb’s family was present while the act of vandalism was committed.

The act of vandalism does not suit the Finnish democracy, Sipilä remarked.

Sipilä, who had just visited Lebanon, said he had heard from different quarters that Finland is a special country, because democracy and democratically elected leaders are respected here.
