Two women died in a head-on collision accident in Hartola, Päijät-Häme on Friday evening.

The victims were both the drivers of the cars involved in the accident.

A male passenger riding in one of the cars was seriously injured.

According to the police, one of the victims was born in 1974 and the other in 1948.

The accident happened before eight O’clock at national road 4 in Hartola. The road was closed for two hours after the accident.

The cause of the accident has not yet been established.
